Mexico qualified to the 2025 U17 World Cup after winning Group C. A 2-2 tie against Nicaragua was enough to clinch first place brought on by their better goal differential. Mexico dominated all their matches including the match against Nicaragua, which was tied with an injury time goal after a defending mistake from Mexico. Still even after Mexico won the group and qualified fairly easily to the World Cup, the level of play from the weak rivals does make it tough to get a reading or a prediction of how will Mexico fare in the World Cup.

After the match, players Maximo Reyes and Aldo De Nigris Jr were there to talk to the press and FMF State of Mind was there to take in what they said after the match.
