Porto’s striker Vincent Aboubakar has undergone a successful surgery to his knee injury.
The forward was forced off in their 1-0 victory over Tondela in Friday’s Primeira Liga game after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee.
On Sunday, the Portuguese champions confirmed the operation on the former Besiktas player and will be expected to start his rehabilitation process immediately after being discharged.
“Vincent Aboubakar was operated on by Professor José Carlos Noronha's team, following a complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament and internal lateral ligament of the left knee," read a statement on the club website.
