Kylian Mbappe and Olivier Giroud scored to help world champion France defeat Netherlands 2-1 in the two sides' second UEFA Nations League match on Sunday.
The 19-year-old Mbappe -- who was voted Young Player of the Tournament at the 2018 World Cup -- scored for the eighth time in 24 appearances for his country with the simplest of finishes to put France in the lead. However, a goal from Ryan Babel pegged France back before a wonderful Giroud strike earned Les Bleus their opening win in the inaugural edition of the competition.
France were playing their first home match since beating Croatia 4-2 in July's World Cup final and the PSG superstar gave celebrating Les Bleus fans a goal to cheer within the first quarter-hour at the Stade de France.
