The Philadelphia Union were a young team in 2016, one that showed promise at times, but also showed some immaturity during a disappointing late-season stretch that saw them drop from first to sixth place in the Eastern Conference.
The Union still managed to make the playoffs, but their late-season collapse still provided some cause for concern. An offseason has come and gone and those concerns have been replaced by renewed optimism in Philadelphia.
