Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola criticised referee Antonio Mateu Lahoz after his side's UEFA Champions League exit against Liverpool on Tuesday, saying the official "likes to be special."
Guardiola was sent to the stands at half-time during their 2-1 loss to the Reds, as he was clearly unhappy with the decision to wrongly rule out Leroy Sane's goal. Had it stood, City, seeking to overturn a 3-0 deficit from the first leg, would've been 2-0 up at half-time.
"I said it was a goal," Guardiola revealed after the game, per ESPN.
