Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has offered an update on Joao Cancelo’s future ahead of the start of the new Premier League season.
Cancelo is back with the Cityzens after a season on loan with Barcelona. The Portugal international is eager to stay at Barca but a deal has not yet been done.
Guardiola has been asked about Cancelo at a news conference and is not ruling out the possibility of the full-back staying at the club this season.
“João Cancelo to re-join our squad? It can happen, yes,” he told reporters.
