'People will soon forget great Morata's dry spell at Chelsea'

Mikael Forssell has backed Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata to return to form after the Spaniard ended his 2018 goal drought against Leicester City.

The 25-year-old, Chelsea's record signing following £58 million transfer from Real Madrid, scored as the Blues booked their place in the FA Cup semi-finals, where they will face Southampton.

Prior to his strike against the Foxes, his form this season has been poor, with a back injury unsettling his season and leading to a 13-game drought that has also seen him dropped by Spain.

However, Forssell, himself a former Chelsea striker, believes the striker's critics will soon forget his dry spell, provided he can continue scoring.
