Pele's memorabilia auction is raking in some serious cash

The Brazilian soccer legend is offering more than 2,000 items online, and some have sold or will sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Pele is auctioning off his entire collection of awards and memorabilia this week, and already his winners medal from the 1962 World Cup final fetched almost $205,000 on Wednesday.

The legendary Brazilian soccer player — who was named Player of the Century by FIFA in 2000 — has arranged for more than 2,000 items he gathered during his distinguished career to be sold online Tuesday-Thursday.

That includes all three of his World Cup-winning medals, with each lot given an estimated price of roughly $100,000-$200,000.
