Pedri has revealed how Barcelona manager Hansi Flick told him to take a “step forward” this season and “dominate the midfield” following his arrival as Xavi’s replacement.
The midfielder has gone on to enjoy a superb season for the Catalans and also seems to have put his injury problems behind him.
Pedri says he’s loving playing an influential role and orchestrating Barca’s play.
“He told me that he wanted me to dominate the midfield,” he told EFE.
“There are a lot of young players and because of my experience I should be one of the leaders.
