Patrick Kluivert says young players who leave for money don’t respect Barcelona

Patrick Kluivert returned to Barcelona last year. The Dutchman took over the club’s director of youth football position last summer and has emphasized loyalty as apart of the youth system.

In an interview with Marca this week, Kluivert discussed the youth players’ feelings towards the club itself as well as Ansu Fati.

When asked about strategy towards players who might want to leave the club for more money, Kluivert said that they need to respect the club.

“The boys of La Masia have the best training in the world. They should not leave just for money, especially young people aged 15 or 16 who are ready to sign their first professional contract.
