A Gelson Fernandes own goal and strikes from Edinson Cavani, Adrien Rabiot and Marco Verratti helped the capital club move to within three points of the Ligue 1 summit on Sunday

Paris Saint-Germain closed the gap on leaders Nice with a routine 4-0 win over Rennes at Parc des Princes on Sunday.

Unai Emery's men were given the chance to move to within three points of the Ligue 1 summit following Nice's 1-0 defeat against Caen and grasped the opportunity with both hands.

Rennes midfielder Gelson Fernandes diverted the ball into his own net after 31 minutes, before soon gifting possession away cheaply to allow Edinson Cavani to make it 2-0 with a sublime finish.
