Papu Gomez knows all about Lionel Messi and admits he’s hoping the Barcelona captain has an off day when the teams meet for the third time already in 2021 on Wednesday in the second leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final.
Messi scored and picked up an assist in the weekend win over Sevilla in La Liga, and Gomez says his team are going to have to be very careful at the Camp Nou.
“When he turns it on, he is capable of anything. We are going to have to be very attentive to him and the other players, hopefully it’s not Leo’s day.
