ATHENS, Greece (AP) -- Panathinaikos secured a place in next season's Champions League by beating PAOK 2-0 in a Greek league playoff game Sunday.
Haris Mavrias and Nikos Karelis scored in the first half for Panathinaikos, which had another goal disallowed in the second half and was never seriously threatened.
In the other playoff game, Asteras beat Atromitos 1-0.
After four playoff rounds, Panathinaikos has 14 points, Asteras six, PAOK four and Atromitos two. Two more rounds remain, to be played next Wednesday and Sunday.
Panathinaikos will play in the Champions League qualifying round, while league Champion Olympiakos will start at the Group stage.
