Pachuca defeated Pumas on a Franco Jara goal and were deserved winners in what was their first game under their new coach Martin Palermo. Pachuca remain undefeated at home in 2019, while Pumas’ struggles continue. The return of Carlos Gonzalez didn’t help things, as he never looked 100%, and Pumas had a disappointing game from his strike partner Felipe Mora. Pumas will look to bounce back in Copa MX, in a season that hasn’t met expectations.
Pachuca dominated the first half, although they didn’t create as many dangerous plays as expected. Ismael Sosa had a good chance go wide.
