Deportivo Saprissa and Pachuca will enter their CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal second leg with everything to play for after a goalless draw at the Estadio Ricardo Saprissa.
Both managers might be left rueing their team’s chances, although both defenses were not overly troubled through the 90 minutes.
Pachuca struggled to impose themselves but came close to grabbing the breakthrough when Omar Gonzalez headed home from a set-piece, only have the goal disallowed for a close offside call.
Saprissa made some good breaks down the left, especially through left back Joseph Mora who perhaps deserved to have earned a penalty for the Costa Ricans in the 65th minute.
