Pachuca beat Al Jazira to claim third place in 2017 Club World Cup

Pachuca bounced back from defeat to Gremio in the Semifinals to win 4-1 at Al Jazira and earn third place at the 2017 Club World Cup.

Pachuca grabbed the lead in the 37th minute when Jonathan Urretaviscaya took advantage of some laxed defending at the back to fire the Tuzos into the lead.

Much like against Gremio, Pachuca showed the same defensive deficiencies, and they paid the price in the 57th minute when, from a simple throw-in, Khaflan Mubara made the best out of a rebound inside the box to thump in the equalizer.

Pachuca’s response, though, was immediate, and three minutes later, Franco Jara took care of an Angelo Sagal cross to regive Tuzos the lead.
