Ozil: I don’t have to shout to be a leader at Arsenal

The Germany international also says he is not bothered about beating the record for most assists in a single Premier League season as he only plays the game to win titles.

Mesut Ozil insists he does not need to be loud and shout at his teammates in order to be a leader for Arsenal.

The Germany international has been in top form for Arsene Wenger’s side this season despite a campaign that looks set to end without any silverware.

The Gunners have come in for criticism after being knocked out of the FA Cup and Champions League in quick succession, as well as falling 11 points behind league leader Leicester, but Ozil says he does try to motivate his team.
