It was a little difficult to tell if Manchester City's comprehensive 3-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday had more to do with their excellence or Jose Mourinho's side's sluggishness. As with most things, the truth probably lies in the middle.
Chelsea looked undercooked and a team a week behind everyone else. Mourinho's decision to give his players a full month with their feet up might pay off in the long run but for the moment it looks to be harming the champions.
