Oriol Busquets signs new Barcelona deal

Barcelona confirmed on Wednesday that Oriol Busquets has signed a new three-year deal at the club with the option of two more seasons.

The 19-year-old midfielder, who is on the comeback trail after undergoing knee surgery in February, also has a new buyout clause of €200 million.

Big things are expected of Busquets and manager Ernesto Valverde said at the end of last season the teenager is one player, along with Carles Alena, he wants to promote to the first-team squad.

Much will depend on how he recovers from injury but if all goes well he could get the chance to impress next season.
