Oriol Romeu says he’s hoping he can face parent club Barcelona on Sunday when Hansi Flick’s side take on Girona in La Liga.
The midfielder was set to miss out due to a ‘fear clause’ in his loan deal, but Girona are said to be willing to pay a €300,000 fee which would allow Romeu to feature.
Romeu spoke about the possibility of featuring on Sunday and hasn’t given up hope he could be involved.
“It’s most likely that I won’t be able to play. I have a small hope that an agreement can be reached,” he told Catalunya Ràdio.
