The NCAA men’s soccer tournament kicked off this past week with 11 Sporting Kansas City academy graduates competing at eight different schools. After the first two rounds of the tournament though there are just four players left. Zane Moxley at Air Force, Ryan Krutz at Notre Dame, Colin Innes at Kentucky, and Connor Jordan-Hyde at Virginia Tech are still alive in the tournament. Unfortunately, none of those three have played in their schools’ games so far. Innes is a red shirt at Kentucky while Jordan-Hyde is one of four goalkeepers on Virginia Tech’s roster. Krutz started the season as Notre Dame’s starting goalkeeper, but down the stretch lost his starting job to another player.
