The best player in the world will represent his country again.
Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi and his teammate Javier Mascherano have been called up by manager Edgardo Bauza to represent the Albiceleste in the South American World Cup Qualifiers against Peru (Oct. 6) and Paraguay (Oct. 11) next month. Messi won the match for Argentina against Luis Suárez' Uruguay before returning to Barça with an injury, while Mascherano played against both Uruguay and Venezuela two weeks ago.
Messi announced his retirement from national team after losing the Copa América Final against Chile last June, the third major final lost by Argentina in the last three years.
