Club América has done it again, announcing the signing of Katty Martínez from Tigres. One of the biggest names in Liga MX Femenil, she’ll join forces with Alison González, who the club announced just yesterday. The two will undoubtedly form one of the more formidable attacking duos in the league once González is fully recovered from knee surgery.
At 23, Martínez is just entering her prime. Martínez scored 12 goals in just 937 minutes last season, the only player to play less than 1000 minutes and score 10 or more goals. She also won the Golden Boot in the 2020 Apertura with 18 goals in 17 games and has become a starter for the Mexican National Team along with González.
