Premier League champions Chelsea have officially announced the signing of left-back Abdul Baba Rahman from Bundesliga outfit Augsburg.
A statement on the Blues’ official website read: “Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce we have reached an agreement with FC Augsburg for the transfer of Abdul Baba Rahman.”
Rahman becomes the London club’s latest summer signing and will be expected to fill the spot vacated by Filipe Luis, who moved to Atletico Madrid earlier in the summer.
He has expressed his delight at securing his move to the English champions, and is relishing the prospect of working under Jose Mourinho as well as linking up with his new team-mates.
