Barcelona announced on Friday they have signed Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid.
The forward joins on a five-year deal with a buyout clause of €800 million.
The club have ended a long-running transfer saga by paying the 28-year-old’s €120 million buyout clause, and the forward will now join up with the club for pre-season.
Griezmann is expected to officially unveiled as a Barcelona player on Sunday and join up with his new-mates on Monday for pre-season training, although the club is yet to confirm the details.
The 28-year-old’s arrival will not be universally popular given he snubbed a move to Barcelona last summer, while rumors have claimed the dressing room would not welcome his arrival.
