Lionel Scaloni is set to finish his last game as Argentina's interim manager, and he says he's almost entirely without regrets.
“Not coaching [Lionel] Messi is my only regret,” Scaloni said in a press conference. “I’m convinced that we did everything else that we had to do.”
The Argentine star has not featured for the national team since last summer's FIFA World Cup, before Scaloni was in charge.
He and Scaloni have agreed to let him rest instead of playing friendly matches. The coach said Messi didn't speak to him about the subject recently, adding “he must be tired of the topic, and I am as well.
