Norwegian minnows turn down Real Madrid in favor of summer camp

Malvik have decided to reject the opportunity to have Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Martin Odegaard train on their turf in order to host 270 children at a soccer school

Norwegian lower-league side Malvik have turned down a request from Real Madrid to train at their facilities because they are needed for a children's summer camp.

Madrid was hoping to use the fifth-tier club's stadium ahead of the Super Cup final against Sevilla in Trondheim on Aug. 9.

But Malvik has refused to accommodate the European champions, who asked that no fans be allowed to watch their sessions, at the expense of 270 kids due to attend their soccer school.
