No Robben for Netherlands as El Ghazi earns his first call

The Dutch face two make-or-break matches against Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic and will have to get by without one of their most experienced players for the qualifiers.

Arjen Robben has been omitted from the Netherlands squad to face Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic in Euro 2016 qualifying but there has been a call for young Ajax sensation Anwar El Ghazi.

Rumors suggested that Bayern Munich winger Robben, 31, might be fit to take his place in Danny Blind’s selection, which faces an uphill battle to qualify for the finals in France next year after tumbling to fourth in Group A following a 3-0 loss to Turkey last month.
