Bayern Munich stars such as Manuel Neuer and Thomas Muller won’t see contract talks at the club affected by the coronavirus pandemic, CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has confirmed.
A number of the club’s top players are out of contract in the summer of 2021, including David Alaba, Jerome Boateng, Javi Martinez, Thiago and Sven Ulreich.
The impact of the Covid-19 outbreak on football players’ contracts is yet to be fully seen, but Rummenigge is adamant that Bayern won’t use it as an excuse to push down wages.
