The 68-year-old said he is "sorry it went this way" after his second spell in charge of the Oranje came to an end
Guus Hiddink's second term in charge of the Netherlands national team has come to an end. His contract was terminated by mutual consent, the Dutch Football Association (KNVB) announced.
The 68-year-old replaced Louis van Gaal at the helm of the Oranje following World Cup 2014, with the aim of leading the team to Euro 2016 in France.
However, some poor results and performances saw Hiddink put under pressure early on.
