Nélson Semedo wants to leave Barcelona due to a lack of playing time, according to Catalunya Ràdio. The right-back was second choice to Sergi Roberto last season, and though it is said that Barça want to keep him, the player wants to go to a team in which he is the undisputed starter.
Barcelona for the moment are not willing to sell him and it’s not expected that any team will pay his release clause, which stands at 100 million euro.
However, things could change now that Semedo’s stance is known. Mundo Deportivo reports that his agent, Jorge Mendes, has spoken with the club and told them what their position is.
