Of all the offseason items that are up in the air, one of them that seems to be certain is that Junior Firpo won’t be at Barcelona come the start of the 2021/22 campaign. The left-back hasn’t been seen as all that vital in Ronald Koeman’s rotation and a replacement is certainly on the way.
The first step will be getting some sort of return on Firpo. One team that seems keen on him is Napoli. The Serie A side may be a good fit for Firpo and his continued growth as a player.
The report says that they’re interested in a loan with an option to buy, but Barca are prioritizing a sell deal sooner rather than later.
