Muller shows his worth

"It's good for me, people will leave me alone now," a beaming Thomas Muller said in Oslo as Germany began their 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign on Sunday night.

The Bayern Munich forward's two goals against Norway, his 33rd and 34th for the Nationalmannschaft, helped the world champions to an easy 3-0 win and put an end to a scoring drought that only stretched three months but felt like an eternity.

It was Muller's failure to find the net at Euro 2016 in France, his failure to find goals where others don't bother looking (as he usually does), that fuelled another classic German debate.
