Moussa Wagué is an anomaly in the Spanish third division. The Barcelona B player has FIFA World Cup experience, not to mention a World Cup goal, for Senegal. Signed from Belgian club Eupen over the summer, it’s taken a bit for him to settle down into the team, but since then, he’s impressed.
The injury to Sergi Roberto leaves Ernesto Valverde with only Nélson Semedo as cover for the right-back position. This gives Wagué an opportunity to be included, perhaps on the bench, or perhaps actually playing some minutes.
The return leg of the Copa del Rey tie against Cultural Leonesa seems like a possible place for him to make his debut.
