Monterrey fight back to earn 2-2 draw over nine-man Chivas

Dorlan Pabon rescued Monterrey from a fifth straight defeat to Chivas after they came from two goals to earn a 2-2 draw with Guadalajara, who suffered two sending offs through the course of 90 minutes.

Monterrey threatened early, but it was the visitors who took the lead when Rodolfo Pizarro unleashed a spectacular volley past Alexander Dominguez on 10 minutes.

Chances kept coming for Chivas, and they grabbed a second just before the quarter-mark. From a Javier Eduardo “La Chofis” Lopez corner, Edwin Hernandez appeared unmarked to force Dominguez to a save. Hernandez grabbed his own rebound and made no mistake from close range to put things at 2-0.
