Monterrey got a very controversial victory over Pumas by a 3-1 score. A match that was filled with controversial calls for both sides and in both halves ended with Pumas later on releasing a statement protesting for the Referee’s decisions which ended with the Referee Association saying they will look into the match and the Referee’s performance. The FIFA break will now have Pumas playing a friendly in the United States but once Liga MX returns, Monterrey will host Tijuana and Pumas will travel north to face Leon.
The first half started with Pumas coming out with their best lineup including Leonardo Suarez but only having Rogelio Funes Mori up top.
