Fresh off of completing an MLS-record deal to move to Bayern Munich, Alphonso Davies flashed the type of skill that made him such a hot young prospect as the Vancouver Whitecaps rolled to a 4-2 win over Minnesota United on Saturday.
Yordy Reyna had Vancouver out in front before halftime, but it was Davies who scored the second for the Whitecaps in spectacular fashion.
Rolling the ball past one defender and splitting three others, the teenager calmly slotted in with his left foot to double the lead.
Kei Kamara tacked on a third for Vancouver before Ibson and Abu Danladi scored to pull MNUFC back to within one.
