The Newcastle United loanee has credited his temporary club with getting him into the squad for Russia 2018 and hopes to shock Brazil and Switzerland
Aleksandar Mitrovic says his loan spell at Fulham was responsible for him getting into Serbia's World Cup squad and expects to reach the knockout rounds of the tournament.
Mitrovic had been struggling for game time at Newcastle United in the first half of the season, leading to him dropping down a league on loan.
His 12 goals in 17 Championship starts were instrumental in helping Fulham to a 23-match unbeaten run which saw them just miss out on automatic promotion to Cardiff City before they sealed a spot in the Premier League with a Championship play-off final win over Aston Villa.
