'Mission: Impossible' gives way to 'Operation: Comeback' - Juventus' season so far

The Bianconeri have recovered from a poor start and are now targeting five straight Serie A wins before Christmas to propel themselves back into contention, writes Mark Doyle.

Six weeks ago, Gianluigi Buffon forbid all talk of winning a fifth straight Serie A title within the Juventus locker room. "The distance between us and the top of the league is so great that we can't allow ourselves to get carried away by flights of fancy," the captain said.

Buffon's stance was understandable: By that point, the Bianconeri had lost three of their opening six league fixtures and were 10 points behind co-leaders Fiorentina and Inter.
