Akwa United have been eliminated from the Akwa Ibom FA Cup after they lost 3-1 to Algon Boys in the semi-final game completed on Friday at the Nest of Champions, Uyo.
The Promise Keepers were trailing 3-0 from the tie played on Wednesday at the same stadium before it was abandoned after some fans invaded the pitch.
A ruling from the Akwa Ibom FA on Thursday evening mandated that the abandoned game should be continued from where it was stopped.
The remaining over 20 minutes of the fixture was played on Friday morning and Algon Boys still stood tall to seal their qualification for the final though they conceded a goal.
