Everything went right for the hosts, who got themselves ahead after just 10 minutes and didn’t look back as Calhanoglu doubled the lead within the first half-hour of play. A Tomiyasu goal before the half gave Bologna hope, but a poor showing in the second half allowed Milan to add a third and a fourth, thanks to Bennacer and Rebic, before Calabria netted a fifth in stoppage time to cap a truly wonderful display.
