TFC captain Michael Bradley accepted responsibility for Houston's first goal in a 2-1 Toronto loss on Sunday, which gave the Dynamo a lead they would never relinquish.
TORONTO — It wasn't the homecoming Michael Bradley or Toronto FC expected.
In front of 30,266 fans at the newly renovated BMO Field, TFC had hoped to kick off a home-heavy stretch of the schedule with a positive result against a struggling Houston Dynamo side, but a slow start by the Reds led to a disappointing afternoon as the Texan visitors grabbed a 2-1 win to spoil the homecoming.
Toronto looked tentative and overly defensive at times, allowing the Dynamo plenty of time and space to attack, but even with TFC's cautious play Houston needed a penalty kick to open the scoring just second before the halftime break.
