Mexico was again eliminated by Nigeria at the U-17 level, dropping Thursday's semifinal despite going ahead early.
For the second consecutive U-17 World Cup, Nigeria has knocked out Mexico.
The teams met in a semifinal Thursday, and Nigeria topped Mexico, 4-2, to send the North Americans out of the tournament and go through to an all-African final against Mali. In the 2013 edition, Nigeria topped Mexico in the final.
The Baby Tri actually jumped out to an early lead Thursday night, when Kevin Mangana converted a pass from Eduardo "Lalo" Herrera to put Mexico on top in the seventh minute.
