The Mexico Under-23 side that will be participating in the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro defeated Ascenso MX side Zacatepec 2-0 in a warm-up game on Tuesday.

Raul "Potro" Gutierrez's side took the initiative from the first minute, scoring the afternoon's first following a combination from Oribe Peralta and Marco Bueno that led to Carlos Cisneros firing home the 1-0.

Monterrey midfielder Arturo "Poncho" Gonzalez then made Mexico's dominance pay by scoring the decisive 2-0.

It wasn't all joy, however, as the afternoon was marred by an injury to defender Cesar Montes, who left the game in the first half with an apparent knee injury.
