Defending Olympic champion Mexico will open defense of its title in the CONCACAF Olympic qualifying tournament at the StubHub Center in Carson in October.
Two Group B games will be played on both Oct. 2 and Oct. 4. The U.S. will head Group A, which will begin play Oct. 1 at Sporting Park in Kansas City, Kan. Canada has also qualified for the tournament with the rest of the eight-team field to be determined in Central America and the Caribbean qualifying games in August.
Group play will conclude in Denver on Oct. 6-7, with the top two teams in each group advancing to Salt Lake City for the semifinals and the Oct.
