Mexico to meet Brazil in Sao Paulo

The Selecao will face El Tri at Allianz Parque on June 7 in what will be their first match on home soil since last year's World Cup.

Chevrolet Brasil Global Tour has confirmed the venue of Brazil’s upcoming friendly with Mexico.

The Selecao will meet the North Americans in their penultimate Copa America warmup match at Allianz Parque in Sao Paulo.

Home of Palmeiras, the stadium was opened in 2014 and holds over 43,000 spectators.

“We are thrilled to host the national team’s first match in Brazil on the road to the 2018 World Cup,” said Venancio Castro, executive director of AEG Facilities Brasil.
