Mexico punched their ticket to the round of 16 of the U-17 World Cup with a 2-1 win over favorites Germany on Saturday night.
It wasn't the best game from Mario Arteaga's side, but el Tricolor had enough to defeat the Europeans and top Group C.
It was not until the 57th minute that the game got the first goal. A shot from Pablo Lopez was deflected by the German defense and saw its way past the helpless goalkeeper to give Mexico the lead.
Mexico showed improvement on the pitch and got a second through defender Francisco Venegas.
