Mexico defender Carlos Salcedo returned to training Tuesday for Eintracht Frankfurt, training for the first time since suffering a collarbone injury in March that many feared would keep him from playing at this summer's World Cup.
Salcedo's return comes one day after that of Santos Laguna center back Nestor Araujo, who was injured in the same March friendly against Croatia. Araujo suffered a knee injury but is training with his club ahead of Thursday's Liguilla first-leg quarterfinal.
“We have an important match on Saturday and the chance to make amends for recent weeks,” Salcedo told Frankfurt's official site.
