Mexico defeat Jamaica 2-0 to seal passage into Copa America quarterfinals

Mexico struggled to get a 2-0 win against Jamaica at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on Thursday night.

While the score-line may not show it, Juan Carlos Osorio's men struggled to find form and were inconsistent throughout their performance. In spite of this, the goals came: the first was courtesy of a Javier Hernández header in the 18th minute off a Jesus "Tecatito" Corona cross. This goal put Chicharito two away from breaking Jared Borgetti's record as all-time national team scorer. Substitute Oribe Peralta notched the second goal just inside of the far post in the 81st minute.
