Following Mexico’s 2-0 defeat at the hands of Brazil, coach Juan Carlos Osorio had some not very nice things to say about Neymar at the end of the game.
While not naming him directly, Osorio manifested his displeasure towards Neymar’s actions during the course of the game. In particular, he wasn’t happy about how Italian referee Gianluca Rocchi handled things.
“It is an embarrassment to the game that so much time is wasted on one player. This is a game for men and not for all of this clowning,” said Osorio.
Osorio may have been referring to an incident that occurred in the 71st minute when Miguel Layun seemed to have lightly stamped his foot on Neymar’s ankle.
